Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!

Hey Hey! You know what today is? Yup you do and I'm on time. I'm proud. You should be proud. So this week I'm going to use my runner up song from last week. I think you'll find it interesting seeing as last week's pick was so mellow. I'm excited. This week we have...

Escape the Fate - Gorgeous Nightmare by universalmusicdeutschland

I think I've heard this song live twice. It makes me dance. It makes everyone dance. Or at least it should. It's such a fantabulous track. The bass line is amazing. This video is dark but has an artistic feel too it so that is a definite plus. Craig's voice makes me melt. It's totally its own thing. ETF is great. So is BTF by the way. You should totally check that out. Listen Learn and Love people. Share it with your friends. And please do...for me...Rape the Replay

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!

So who almost forgot about RtR? This girl. With all the hoopla surrounding National Gain Weight Day a.k.a. Thanksgiving my mind has been somewhere else. I'm preparing a mini feast with the help of my lovely mother. No that is not meant to be the other way around. I run the kitchen in my house. Haha. Anyway time for music right? It was kind of difficult picking a song this week. It was a toss up between two songs. I decided to post the runner up next week thus saving myself the nerve-racking  process of picking for next week. Yay me I killed two birds with one stone. Or two posts. Whatever. Without further ado please enjoy...

If Tonight is my Last by Laura Izibor is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard in my life. Laura Izibor is a powerhouse of talent. I'll admit I was a little slow on the jump. The first time I ever heard her was on One Tree Hill. I've been blasting this ever since. It's impossible not to love her! Impossible I say. Plus she had some really great scenes with BJG. Am I the only one who thinks that Mark Schwan has down wonders for the music industry? Moving on. Listen Love and Learn people. Share it with your friends...and please do...for me...Rape the Replay.

P.S. What do you think of Slam Saturdays?...yup back on the spoken word thing

P.P.S. Happy Turkey Day!!!!

Hey little girl, Hey young woman, Hey Mother, Hey Aunt, Hey Sister...You need to see this

Fun Fact: Most of my time spent on youtube  is spent watching things that are supposed to be funny and Spoken  Word. Spoken Word is an art form that I enjoy very much but have never had the balls to do. I never felt like I was good enough.
Fun Fact # 2: My donor...my father...he is great at it.So perhaps it's in my blood. Blood I sometimes wish I didn't have but that is another thing. Another post. Another time. Moving on.

I found a poem on youtube today that I honestly wish every woman in the world could see. But I can only share it with the people who see this. Do me a favor and share it. Let's makes some traffic. This is for the beautiful women who don't get treated as they should. For those who willingly accept less than they deserve. I'm giving this to you. I'm giving Zora to you. I love her and you should too.

Maybe sharing spoken word will become a feature around here. What do you think?

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!! (on Thursday woops)

Didn't I say I was going to do this earlier? Technically yesterday? I had homework. It tripped me up. I'm working on my final paper for English. It's getting really serious for me over here. I can do this. I can do this. Moving on. This week's RtR track is a lot newer than the others. If I'm not mistaken the album just came out earlier this year. The first time I heard this artist was in Beastly, not that I knew that. My friend enlightened me to this fact. So I went and did some research on the artist and came up with this weeks track. Please enjoy...

Mirrors by Natalia Kills is crazy catchy and all kinds of dirty. It's already been heralded as a "hymn about sex" . Don't we all need those? The first song I ever heard by her was Wonderland and I love it but this...well you heard it right? I love it. Did I mention that she's crazy hot? She is! I love her mouth... Moving on. This is a great song. It's the kind of song that makes you feel sexy about yourself. I know it makes me feel that way. Listen Love and Learn people. Maybe not in public though. It's a little raunchy. And above all please do...for me... Rape the Replay

Fun on the InterWebz

Hey Hey Hey.! It's Rape the Replay Wednesday lovelies! Woooooooo! But that's not what this is particular post is about. I will get to RtR later today. What?!?! Two posts in one day?!?! Who's a beast? Me! That's who!

Not really
All unnecessary boasting aside, I decided to put this up because I realized that all I have posted this month is RtR which is both great and terrible. Great because it means I'm keeping up with my promise to be more diligent about the whole thing, and terrible because I really do have other things to say.

So after an eight day facebook hiatus I decided to log back in. It was boring as hell. However one of my friends did post something about googling "do a barrel roll". So out of pure nosiness I did it. It made my freaking day. So this is what I'm going to do for you readers. I'm going to make a list of fun time wasting stuff I figured out how to do in the internet.
  1. Google "do a barrel roll"
  2. Google Gravity
  3. Konami Code Websites (for those of you who don't know it:          B
  4. The exclamation point on yahoo.com makes noise
  5. Bad translator ( I put in Autobots, roll out! and ended up with Spider red, We have to take action)
I hope these make you smile and help waste at least an hour of your day. If you find anything cool on your own don't hesitate to let me now.

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!

It is once again RtR Wednesday. Are you excited? I'm excited. And I'm on time! Woot! This week's track is an oldie but a goodie. I'm using a remake here but the fact is that it's a really great song. The melody is haunting and the lyrics are simple but genius. It's the type of song that gets in your head for months. Please enjoy...

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of this) originally by the Eurythmics covered by Emily Browning. I like the original well enough but I love Emily's voice on this. One of the many great songs on the Sucker Punch soundtrack. You've seen it right? I've gushed about it on here. There are a lot of covers of this song out there but I like this one best. The fact that this track made the list this week may have something to do with the fact that I watched the first episode of Grimm last night. Who knows? Anyway, Listen, Learn and Love people. Share it with your friends. And please do...for me...Rape the Replay.

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!

It's the first Wednesday of the month! And Guess what? I'm posting on time....yay! Are you excited? I'm excited. Today's song is by one of my favorite people on the planet..actually her band. As I've said before she's all kinds of wonderful and talented. If I could meet her one day then my life would be complete. I've been watching her grace the screen since I was 11 years old. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do once her show is over. Alas I'll always have her blog to read, and I wish her all the best in her future endeavors. She's beautiful and classy and real and honest. The absolute best combination of a person. I'm speaking of  course of the amazing Bethany Joy Galeotti  .

If you don't know who she is...where the heck have you been huh? No seriously though. She's famous for her roles in Guiding Light, Bring it On Again, and One Tree Hill. If you pay attention like I do then you have seen and loved her episode of Charmed, which is in Season 4 I think. I could gush forever but seriously this is about the music. So please enjoy...

Girl in the Moon is considerably slower than the other songs I've posted for RtR. But It is by far one of my favorite songs ever. It's one of the top played songs on my iTunes right now...and forever. Listen Learn and Love people. Share it with your friends . Good music is so rare these days. Support art and love and Joy.

Love you Joy!!!!

She's so beautiful
