Countdown to Goodbye: Post 12

So it's time for another one. While it's really fun to reminisce, it's really sad to think that after this season there will never be another new episode. No more anticipating season premieres. It's really freaking sad. But this is cathartic for me and hopefully you too.

Character: Karen Roe
Portrayed by: Moira Kelly
First Seen: "Pilot"
Last Seen: "Remember Me As A Time Of Day"
Status: Traveling the World

Can we all just agree that it's impossible not to love Karen? I mean seriously, we been through a lot with her. Dan. Keith. Dan. Keith. Andy. Keith. Dan again and back to Andy. She's the epitome of strength and grace. Single mother/ Entrepreneur/ Survivor. She was definitely my favorite "adult" on the show. She was literally a mom to everyone. Except maybe Nathan. But he had his own stuff going on. We rooted for her in her business ventures. Cried with her when Keith died. Cried for her when she died...for a few seconds anyway. You're always happy to see her when she's back for big events ( Weddings and births) and sad to see her go. I doubt we'll see her this season but she's still one of the best mom's on TV. After all she's the one who taught us that that there is only...One Tree Hill.

Favorite Scene(s):

Season 4 episode 21. This is when she visited Dan in jail (duh). And oh dear lord Moira is amazing. I believed her pain. Her anger. I've watched the last episodes of season four the most out of any season and this was definitely a part of why. I love it. You know you do too.

*Also she's the voice of adult Nala in The Lion King. How awesome is that?

It's been one hell of a ride.

Goodnight Karen Roe

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!

Hey Hey Hey! Is it that time again? Why yes I think it is. Let's see what's in the bag for this lovely RTR Wednesday. What do you say we get sexy today? Please enjoy...

This song is so amazingly timeless. This song came out in 2000 if you can believe it. That's right. This song is around 12 years old. I was like 8 when this song was released. And I LOVED it. I knew all the words then and I still do now. I didn't realize how dirty it was when I was a kid. His voice was smooth and the beat made me want to dance. Imagine little me singing this. I had no idea what I was talking about. But now I do and that makes it even better. I don't know about you but this song makes me feel sexy about myself and I play it all day. Listen Learn and Love people. Share it with your friends, And please do...for me...Rape the Replay.

Countdown to Goodbye: Post 13

As per the course with me this is late. It should have been done last week but life got in the way. Like I said before I have to say goodbye to One Tree Hill slowly. So in no particular order I'm going to highlight some of my favorite characters. Against my will it's time to bid them adieu.

Character: Jake Jagielski
Portrayed by: Bryan Greenberg
First seen in: Pilot
Last seen:  Over the Hills and Far Away
Character Status: Moved Away

It must first be said that I am firmly in the Leyton (Lucas and Peyton) camp. They were just meant to be. Plain and simple. No one can convince me of anything else. Ever. Not that we've settled that let's talk about the awesomeness that was Mr. Jagielski.

He was a basketball player, Singer/Songwriter, and father. Your basic small town Super man. Plus he was really the only one besides Lucas who could pull Peyton back from the brink of darkness. Points for  that. Bryan played this character with such charm and warmth that it was hard not to melt into a puddle of goo when you saw him with Jenny. Then evil bitch Nikki showed up and you hated her for hurting him and Jenny. You rooted for him even though I'm pretty sure running off with Jenny at least the first time was illegal. You watched him leave happy and sad at the same time. You didn't want him to leave but you took immense pleasure in Nikki losing. I've seen Bryan in a bunch of stuff since he left Tree Hill but this is my favorite thing he's done. I've been saying bring back Jake and Jenny for years and I'm thoroughly pissed that Mark Schwan didn't get the message. Cest' La Vie I guess.

Fave scene(s):

The gooodbye scene in 3x21. When he tells Peyton that she should go back to Lucas. That if they were meant to be together than they would be. That'd he'd always be there. Talk about gracefully bowing out. I can't find a video of it now but when I do I'll put it up. Goodbye to one one of the greatest guys ever. Dim the lights and say...

Goodnight Jake Jagielski

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!

You know what day it is lovely people. Be proud of me. My Winter semester just officially started so I'm a little off....And a lot poorer. Am I the only one who hates spending money? For the next few Wednesdays I've decided that we're going to go back in time a little. In  no particular order so while this song came out when I was sixteen or so the next one might have come out when I was five. We'll see. So without further ado please enjoy...

I wanted to use the home video version of this but I could find one without embed problems. Pfft internet. Cobra Starship was part of the first concert I'd ever gone to. It was them, Hey Monday,(missed that set) Metro Station and Fall Out Boy. I stupidly wore my leather jacket that night. We live and we learn. To this day this is still one of my favorite CB Starship songs and I can't wait to see them live again. Listen Learn and Love people. Share it with your friends. And please do...for me...Rape the Replay

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!

Who's on time:? Me! Wooo! 1 for 2 isn't bad right? Anyway I'm super excited about this weeks RtR track! Why? Well obviously because it rocks. But more than that. I"m excited because I've met this artist. She hugged me and it was awesomesauce. No I'm not talking about Wynter Gordon although she totally did hug me and wave at me and take pictures with and sign my poster...as some of you may know from my fan girl gushing on my hair saga post. Nope. Today I'm talking about the amazingly wonderful, fierce and sexy bubblegoth (which is apparently a thing) queen Kerli.

I love Kerli. I've loved her ever since I heard this song. I was either in the tenth or eleventh grade. One of my best friends showed it to me one day. Honestly the first time I heard it I don't think I really heard it. I was super entranced by the video. I mean seriously, look at it! It's like the best thing ever! So I quickly hopped on itunes and bout the album which has been on my top played list forever. Now I was perfectly content listening to her album over and over again. Imagine my surprise when I found  out last summer she was going to be a Motor City Pride which I try to go to every year. I didn't get to stay for her set. (MAJOR BUMMER) But I did get to talk to her and like I said she hugged me. Made my fucking summer like seriously. Walking on air is like ambrosia for your ears and if you don't love her after you hear this...well then you're nuts damnit. Listen, Learn and Love people. Share it with your friends. And please do...for me...Rape the Replay.

Swan Song

Oh dear goddess tomorrow is Wednesday. Do you know what that means? Well of course I have an RtR track to put up. I'm totally bummed that I missed the first one of the year. (Sorry!) But more importantly, One Tree Hill's FINAL season starts tomorrow. Seriously I don't think my heart can take it. What am I going to watch now?!? Besides Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, Jane by Design (If it turns out not to be sucktastic...which it seems to be at this point) Covert Affairs, Grey's Anatomy...hmm perhaps I'll be okay. But I just don't believe it. I've been watching OTH for a good chunk of my life. I guess I'll just have to get a jump on my OTH DVD collection and hideout in my room and reminisce about the good old days of nights filled with One Tree Hill, Veronica Mars and Charmed. *sigh* So I have an idea. I've decided to do an OTH feature. 13 posts featuring my top 13 fave OTH characters and shining moments. I figure this way I'll be able to say goodbye slowly. I knew this day would come. I just wanted to get to you know like season 15 maybe. I'm kidding. I just have to get ready to say...Goodnight One Tree Hill.

P.S. Post will go up on Thursday as to not interfere with RTR Wednesday.
