Goodnight One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill ends tonight. It breaks my heart. I'm still going to finish my posts. We can just pretend like you haven't finished the season yet. Cool? I can't believe I've spent 9 years of my life watching this show. I grew up with these characters. I feel like I know them. I walk around quoting episodes. There's an OTH quote on my words to live your life by page. I'm a Tree Hill Lifer you know. This really does mark the end of a television era for people my age...or perhaps older. All of the shows that were on when One Tree Hill started are gone. Charmed. Gone. Veronica Mars. Gone. Smallville. Gone. Call me dramatic but I really feel like tonight marks the beginning of the end of my adolescent years. (So I'm 20. Don't judge me). I probably should go get my tissues out now. I feel as though this is going to be a very tough two hours for me. How do you feel?

I'm grateful for the things I learned watching this show. I know my mom thinks it's just teenage soapy madness but it was...is so much more than that. And if you are new to the fold I welcome you...and command you not watch tonight unless you're all caught up. It's official people. Dim the lights on the Rivercourt. It's time to say Goodnight

Countdown to Goodbye: Post 10

Alright loves here we go. Get out your tissues. This is gonna be a good one. This particular post will feature more than one person because I wanted to fit everyone in...they'd take up six posts individually and I have more  people I want to get to. So without anymore fanfare let's talk Tree Hill Babies.

Character(s): Jenny Jagielski, Lily Roe Scott, James Lucas Scott, Sawyer Brooke Scott, Lydia Bob Scott, (and lastly the twins) Jude and Davis Baker *that's everyone...right?*

Played by: Various people (Cut me some slack finding that out would take forever)
First seen: Jenny: Season 1 Jamie: Season 4 Sawyer: Season 6  Lydia, Davis & Jude: Season 8
Last seen: Various episodes.

Character Status(es): Jenny: With Jake  Lily: Jetsetting with Karen and Andy Jamie, Sawyer & Lydia: With Lucas and Peyton. Jude and Davis: Being adorable in Tree Hill with Brooke and Julian.

Miss. Jenny Jagielski
The always adorable Miss Lily Roe Scott
The incomparable James Lucas Scott

The extremely epic Miss Sawyer Brooke
Nathan's little brunette beauty Lydia Bob
The heart melting fabulous Baker boys.

How can you not love these kids? We've been through a lot with them. With Jenny we had to deal with Nikki. Both Lily and Karen almost bit the big one and then there was Keith or rather the lack of him. With Jamie we've been through hell and back (I'm glaring at you Dante. You too Skank Nanny Bitch.*) Sawyer had your heart before she even left the womb. We've been rooting for the Davis and Jude since day one. Lydia and Jenny are our only non traumatic births. I think a spin off featuring all of the kids would be great. Don't you? They'd rock that little town just like their parents did.  And you know you love watching them be parents. I really appreciate the time jump now.

Usually I would put my favorites scenes up but there are seriously too many. I'll just keep my hope for a spin off alive. Someone start a petition! All of the Tree Hill babies have a place in my heart...in all of our hearts.

Goodnight:
Jenny Jagielski
Lilly Roe Scott
James Lucas Scott
Sawyer Brooke Scott
Lydia Bob Scott
Davis Baker
Jude Baker

*Let it be known that I love Torrey Devitto who plays Nanny Carrie a.k.a. Skank Nanny Bitch. She's an amazing actress and very beautiful. I just wish she'd play someone I didn't hate.

Countdown to Goodbye: Post 11

Are you ready? Get ready. It's time for another one. I think this time around it's time to do a villain. Well she wasn't really a villain... she was just... I don't know. Herself I guess. She's currently the background on my computer...Ms. Gatina...your up.

Character: Rachel Gatina
Potrayed by: Danneel Ackles (nee Harris)
First Seen: "An Attempt to Tip the Scales"
Last Seen:  "Some Roads Lead Nowhere"
Status: ??? (I think she's still in Tree Hill and you just don't see her)

I choose this picture of her because...well it's freaking awesome. I have needs okay. Don't judge me. Anyway  When Rachel first showed up I was like...damn she's hot. Her fights with Brooke made me laugh. Her passes at Nathan pissed me the hell off. Her relationship with Mouth was just plain endearing. I wanted to hate her. I really did. Especially after the time capsule fiasco. But I just couldn't. She was/is one of my favorite non core five characters. I fell in love with her snark and wit and overall bitchiness. She didn't apologize for it. In the beginning anyway. Over time she changed. There was the drug thing after the series did the time jump. Then she married Dan and I was like what the fuck? I have a lot of fellow OTH lovers that didn't love Rachel as much as I did, But that's their opinion. Mark did a great job keeping this particular bad girl.

Favorite Scene(s):

The internet  apparently doesn't  want me to post videos. I have a lot but for the purposes of this I'll just link them from now on:

Spice Girls Dance

The Bitch Slap

The Car Wash

Like I said I loved Rachel. She was authentically herself and I respected it even if it wasn't pretty all the time. Yay for realism. She's our Red Head Rebel and one of a kind

Goodnight Rachel Gatina

Countdown to Goodbye: Post 12

So it's time for another one. While it's really fun to reminisce, it's really sad to think that after this season there will never be another new episode. No more anticipating season premieres. It's really freaking sad. But this is cathartic for me and hopefully you too.

Character: Karen Roe
Portrayed by: Moira Kelly
First Seen: "Pilot"
Last Seen: "Remember Me As A Time Of Day"
Status: Traveling the World

Can we all just agree that it's impossible not to love Karen? I mean seriously, we been through a lot with her. Dan. Keith. Dan. Keith. Andy. Keith. Dan again and back to Andy. She's the epitome of strength and grace. Single mother/ Entrepreneur/ Survivor. She was definitely my favorite "adult" on the show. She was literally a mom to everyone. Except maybe Nathan. But he had his own stuff going on. We rooted for her in her business ventures. Cried with her when Keith died. Cried for her when she died...for a few seconds anyway. You're always happy to see her when she's back for big events ( Weddings and births) and sad to see her go. I doubt we'll see her this season but she's still one of the best mom's on TV. After all she's the one who taught us that that there is only...One Tree Hill.

Favorite Scene(s):

Season 4 episode 21. This is when she visited Dan in jail (duh). And oh dear lord Moira is amazing. I believed her pain. Her anger. I've watched the last episodes of season four the most out of any season and this was definitely a part of why. I love it. You know you do too.

*Also she's the voice of adult Nala in The Lion King. How awesome is that?

It's been one hell of a ride.

Goodnight Karen Roe

Countdown to Goodbye: Post 13

As per the course with me this is late. It should have been done last week but life got in the way. Like I said before I have to say goodbye to One Tree Hill slowly. So in no particular order I'm going to highlight some of my favorite characters. Against my will it's time to bid them adieu.

Character: Jake Jagielski
Portrayed by: Bryan Greenberg
First seen in: Pilot
Last seen:  Over the Hills and Far Away
Character Status: Moved Away

It must first be said that I am firmly in the Leyton (Lucas and Peyton) camp. They were just meant to be. Plain and simple. No one can convince me of anything else. Ever. Not that we've settled that let's talk about the awesomeness that was Mr. Jagielski.

He was a basketball player, Singer/Songwriter, and father. Your basic small town Super man. Plus he was really the only one besides Lucas who could pull Peyton back from the brink of darkness. Points for  that. Bryan played this character with such charm and warmth that it was hard not to melt into a puddle of goo when you saw him with Jenny. Then evil bitch Nikki showed up and you hated her for hurting him and Jenny. You rooted for him even though I'm pretty sure running off with Jenny at least the first time was illegal. You watched him leave happy and sad at the same time. You didn't want him to leave but you took immense pleasure in Nikki losing. I've seen Bryan in a bunch of stuff since he left Tree Hill but this is my favorite thing he's done. I've been saying bring back Jake and Jenny for years and I'm thoroughly pissed that Mark Schwan didn't get the message. Cest' La Vie I guess.

Fave scene(s):

The gooodbye scene in 3x21. When he tells Peyton that she should go back to Lucas. That if they were meant to be together than they would be. That'd he'd always be there. Talk about gracefully bowing out. I can't find a video of it now but when I do I'll put it up. Goodbye to one one of the greatest guys ever. Dim the lights and say...

Goodnight Jake Jagielski
