Today's Dabble in Poetry

I haven't written many poems lately. And I have a thousand excuses as to why. But that's not important. Before I immerse myself in Hell Week. I wanted to share this with you.

I could call her my first love
But I wouldn't want to put that much pressure on her
To me she was always delicate
Mine to protect

I could say that it was epic
But then I'd be guilty
Of trivializing  a situation that was much more
Than a lowly adjective

I could have crushed her
Under the weight of all that I felt
Take her by surprise with the emotions
That nearly blew me away

I settle on calling her nothing but her name
Accepting that maybe she's just supposed to float in and out of my life
Teaching me...grooming me
Until I find the girl I yearned for her to be

I could call her many things
But today I settle for Sarah

So I've had this blog for two years now and I just realized it today...well the other day. Man I've been spacing lately. I would like to thank you for coming along with me on this Disney Land Acid Trip. I hope you've enjoyed your time in my little piece of heaven.  I know that I've been promising a lot  and then spacing but I'm going to get it together. I have new stories to tell and tidbits to share. Even if you don't follow me (which I wish you would) I love you for stopping by.

Now you guys tell me what you'd like to see me add. Is it time for a new look? More Music? Less musc? Recipes? Vlogs? Reviews? Drop me a line. I aim to please

~Bombshell~

This is so gorgeous! So understated. I love her. Don't you? Well you should! Also you should watch Smash. Because it's amazing. Finally good musical television! *No offense to Glee...I just kinda hate it* I mean come on Anjelica freaking Huston is one of the stars. And they have Thorsten Kaye who I love (from All My Children) Seriously check it out and tell me what you think.

I love you for stopping by.

Goodnight One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill ends tonight. It breaks my heart. I'm still going to finish my posts. We can just pretend like you haven't finished the season yet. Cool? I can't believe I've spent 9 years of my life watching this show. I grew up with these characters. I feel like I know them. I walk around quoting episodes. There's an OTH quote on my words to live your life by page. I'm a Tree Hill Lifer you know. This really does mark the end of a television era for people my age...or perhaps older. All of the shows that were on when One Tree Hill started are gone. Charmed. Gone. Veronica Mars. Gone. Smallville. Gone. Call me dramatic but I really feel like tonight marks the beginning of the end of my adolescent years. (So I'm 20. Don't judge me). I probably should go get my tissues out now. I feel as though this is going to be a very tough two hours for me. How do you feel?

I'm grateful for the things I learned watching this show. I know my mom thinks it's just teenage soapy madness but it was...is so much more than that. And if you are new to the fold I welcome you...and command you not watch tonight unless you're all caught up. It's official people. Dim the lights on the Rivercourt. It's time to say Goodnight

I went through with it *yay me*

So it has been done. The Big Chop has come and gone without much fanfare. Okay that's not true. I've been buzzing about it since I did which will be two weeks ago on Friday. And honestly it wasn't as big as I expected. My Big Chop included very little...well chopping. A few snips here a few snips there and it was over. I was surprised when I heard a voice say "Alright all the permed hair is out." I was like: "Seriously?" Was that it? I'd spent weeks spazzing out about this and I have to say that I was a little underwhelmed. Had I blown this way out of proportion? (Yes I did). Anyway I wanted to let you all know that I did do it and I'm happy. I would post a pic of it but...it's covered up by weave. I got a sew-in. I'm still a newbie on the whole caring for natural hair thing so I figured this would be the best bet for me for a while. Sew-ins are a godsend for me because I'm lazy as all get out. Then when it's time to take them out I'll rock a twist out since I really like those. Like I said before, I want a really big fro. I don't have a twa (teeny weenie afro). My hair is just shorter than I'm used to. Taking this weave out will be interesting....

I'm using olive oil based and sulfate/silicone free products on my natural hair. I like how light they feel. What are you using? What do you recommend?  Feel free to drop me a line

I'm gonna get here one day. <3 Wynter
I love you for stopping by :)
