One Tree Hill ends tonight. It breaks my heart. I'm still going to finish my posts. We can just pretend like you haven't finished the season yet. Cool? I can't believe I've spent 9 years of my life watching this show. I grew up with these characters. I feel like I know them. I walk around quoting episodes. There's an OTH quote on my words to live your life by page. I'm a Tree Hill Lifer you know. This really does mark the end of a television era for people my age...or perhaps older. All of the shows that were on when One Tree Hill started are gone. Charmed. Gone. Veronica Mars. Gone. Smallville. Gone. Call me dramatic but I really feel like tonight marks the beginning of the end of my adolescent years. (So I'm 20. Don't judge me). I probably should go get my tissues out now. I feel as though this is going to be a very tough two hours for me. How do you feel?
I'm grateful for the things I learned watching this show. I know my mom thinks it's just teenage soapy madness but it was...is so much more than that. And if you are new to the fold I welcome you...and command you not watch tonight unless you're all caught up. It's official people. Dim the lights on the Rivercourt. It's time to say Goodnight
If the words on this page resonate with one person today then I have done my job...if not...come back tomorrow

Countdown to Goodbye: Post 11
Are you ready? Get ready. It's time for another one. I think this time around it's time to do a villain. Well she wasn't really a villain... she was just... I don't know. Herself I guess. She's currently the background on my computer...Ms. Gatina...your up.
Character: Rachel Gatina
Potrayed by: Danneel Ackles (nee Harris)
First Seen: "An Attempt to Tip the Scales"
Last Seen: "Some Roads Lead Nowhere"
Status: ??? (I think she's still in Tree Hill and you just don't see her)
The internet apparently doesn't want me to post videos. I have a lot but for the purposes of this I'll just link them from now on:
Spice Girls Dance
The Bitch Slap
The Car Wash
Like I said I loved Rachel. She was authentically herself and I respected it even if it wasn't pretty all the time. Yay for realism. She's our Red Head Rebel and one of a kind
Goodnight Rachel Gatina

I choose this picture of her because...well it's freaking awesome. I have needs okay. Don't judge me. Anyway When Rachel first showed up I was like...damn she's hot. Her fights with Brooke made me laugh. Her passes at Nathan pissed me the hell off. Her relationship with Mouth was just plain endearing. I wanted to hate her. I really did. Especially after the time capsule fiasco. But I just couldn't. She was/is one of my favorite non core five characters. I fell in love with her snark and wit and overall bitchiness. She didn't apologize for it. In the beginning anyway. Over time she changed. There was the drug thing after the series did the time jump. Then she married Dan and I was like what the fuck? I have a lot of fellow OTH lovers that didn't love Rachel as much as I did, But that's their opinion. Mark did a great job keeping this particular bad girl.

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!
So who almost forgot about RtR? This girl. With all the hoopla surrounding National Gain Weight Day a.k.a. Thanksgiving my mind has been somewhere else. I'm preparing a mini feast with the help of my lovely mother. No that is not meant to be the other way around. I run the kitchen in my house. Haha. Anyway time for music right? It was kind of difficult picking a song this week. It was a toss up between two songs. I decided to post the runner up next week thus saving myself the nerve-racking process of picking for next week. Yay me I killed two birds with one stone. Or two posts. Whatever. Without further ado please enjoy...
If Tonight is my Last by Laura Izibor is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard in my life. Laura Izibor is a powerhouse of talent. I'll admit I was a little slow on the jump. The first time I ever heard her was on One Tree Hill. I've been blasting this ever since. It's impossible not to love her! Impossible I say. Plus she had some really great scenes with BJG. Am I the only one who thinks that Mark Schwan has down wonders for the music industry? Moving on. Listen Love and Learn people. Share it with your friends...and please do...for me...Rape the Replay.
P.S. What do you think of Slam Saturdays?...yup back on the spoken word thing
P.P.S. Happy Turkey Day!!!!
Ta for now

Rape the Replay Wednesday!!!!
It's the first Wednesday of the month! And Guess what? I'm posting on time....yay! Are you excited? I'm excited. Today's song is by one of my favorite people on the planet..actually her band. As I've said before she's all kinds of wonderful and talented. If I could meet her one day then my life would be complete. I've been watching her grace the screen since I was 11 years old. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do once her show is over. Alas I'll always have her blog to read, and I wish her all the best in her future endeavors. She's beautiful and classy and real and honest. The absolute best combination of a person. I'm speaking of course of the amazing Bethany Joy Galeotti .
Girl in the Moon is considerably slower than the other songs I've posted for RtR. But It is by far one of my favorite songs ever. It's one of the top played songs on my iTunes right now...and forever. Listen Learn and Love people. Share it with your friends . Good music is so rare these days. Support art and love and Joy.
Love you Joy!!!!
If you don't know who she is...where the heck have you been huh? No seriously though. She's famous for her roles in Guiding Light, Bring it On Again, and One Tree Hill. If you pay attention like I do then you have seen and loved her episode of Charmed, which is in Season 4 I think. I could gush forever but seriously this is about the music. So please enjoy...

Joie De La Lecture*
Do you love books? I love books. Let's talk about books okay? Okay cool
Out of the six books that I've had on my roster I've finished three of them but I want to talk about two of them in particular. I finished both of these books in the last week or so and the endings stick with me. My mood goes from enraged to confused depending on which book you ask me about.
First up is: Bastard out of Carolina by Dorthy Allison
This book is by far the most disturbing thing I have ever read. I went into this thinking that there was no way that this book could be more disturbing than the film. Newsflash: I was WRONG.
Do me a favor dear reader and watch 4:57-9:52. Can you stomach it? I have to say that I was happy as hell when Bone's uncles beat the shit out of that son of a bitch. It was by far my favorite part of the entire film. Now that you are armed with this knowledge I can explain to you why the book enrages me so. I watched the movie before I read the book. I knew how this was going to end. That didn't change the fact that I kept hoping that Anney would grow a damn brain. I kept hoping that she would leave that puss bucket and do right by her daughters which is what she preaches about all the damn time. But that didn't happen. She was even more infuriating in book form. I also have to point out how twisted Bone's way of thinking became as the book went on. It was frightening and painful and... honest
That's the one positive thing I can say about this book. And it really isn't a compliment. Bone's voice is so real . There isn't any sugarcoating or any fancy words. It's just her. I cannot say that I recommend this book or film to anyone. I think that has to be a choice you have to make on your own. All I can say is:
And let's move on to something less dark
Awakened is the eighth book in the House of Night Series. If you have a penitent for vampires like I do I suggest you pick this up. Seriously it's infuriatingly good and it's not just some mushy romance novel. *cough* Twilight *cough* It actually adds to the always growing vampire mythos. There is so much mythology in this story. It has a great grasp of different cultures and histories as well as belief systems It's all blended into this amazing series of which I'm eight books into and haven't given up on. * Seeing as I don't do spoilers there isn't much I can say. After all this is book eight and some of you have yet to read book one. But the following things I have to put out there.
First up is: Bastard out of Carolina by Dorthy Allison
I know a lot people have probably seen the film adaptation of this book. Starring the lovely Jena Malone However I think it might be more famous or infamous based on how many people flat out refuse to read or watch it. Well allow me to join the ranks of the few and proud who have done both. And honestly people there were times in both instances when I thought I wouldn't make it to the end.

| Hahaha See what I did there.? *crickets* |
- You CANNOT put red tattoos on a Raven Mocker, through him on the cover and go through the entire book and not explain where the hell they came from! It's just not right.
- Dearest Dragon, I understand your pain (okay maybe I don't ) but seriously GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!
- WHY JACK.? Tell me P.C. ! WHY JACK.? It could've been Erik. No one would have minded that.
Notes:
* Joie De La Lecture translates to "The Joy of Reading" Which I got off of a T-Shirt designed by the oh so amazing Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley James Scott OTH) I'm broke but you should totally go buy a shirt because the proceeds go to charity and I mean come on...It's Haley!
*You're probably going to hate me for this but I gave up on Harry Potter 1 page into The Goblet of Fire
